The only non-computer game to really capture my attention in the recent past is RoboRally. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a little creative mayhem.
My friends and I have made a foray into writing games as well. A group of four of us, "Three Lemmings Short of a Cow", created a fairly simple roguelike windows game. While the game was not technically very impressive, it was a good glimpse into the world of game development.
