News:

To all the girls and to all the parents: It was an honor and a privilige to coach this team. You went from a group of girls thrown together at the last minute, to become a real team. Your play improved so much during the season, that I can't even begin to describe it. You stuck it out through some rough times, and always showed pride, spirit and good sportsmanship. And that, girls, is what it's all about.

I am so proud of all of you, that I can't even begin to describe it. I know that Coach Chris feels the same way about you. I'll see you all at the picnic.

Results/Highlights:

June 8 vs. Dodgerettes:

Once more, the Angels played as a real team. Nice fielding from everyone, with good stops and some nice outs at first. Sera and Shannon combined to pitch a nice game, with more strikeouts than I could count. Offensively, we heard from practically everyone, with Rabecka getting a great hit, Veronica stealing home, and several others scoring as well. Great effort and a great game!

May 30 vs. Dodgerettes:

Teamwork was the name of the game today. Short-handed, with only 8 players, the Angels came to play. Sera did a great job pitching, and everybody covered everyone else. Brianna had a sacrifice to bring home Shannon in the first inning. Tara had a nice catch for an out, and Shannon made some good plays at first base. We were all proud of the girls' effort today!

May 23 vs. Dodgerettes:

Once again, the pitching was very good. Sera and Shannon both came up with several strikeouts. There were some nice put-outs at first, as well. Brianna had some smart baserunning to score.

May 16 vs. Lanark:

We had some nice pitching, with Sera getting several strikeouts. Also, some alert baserunning by Jackie led to two runs. There were some nice stops in the field, too.

May 11 vs. Angels:

Highlights when Coach Chris or Coach John gets them to me.

May 9 vs. Mason Hot Shotz:

Today the Angels put on their game faces. Good hitting and running in the first led to 2 runs. In the bottom of the first, a great throw from Sara at third to Gaby at home caught the runner. But it was the third inning where the girls shone. They batted all the way around, scoring 7 runs in the process. A great offensive effort! All the coaches are proud of you!

May 4 vs. Hot Shotz:

In a replay of their first game, the Angels once again went up against the Hot Shotz. There was some good batting, as Maricela had a lovely shot up the middle for a single, and some alert running as well, as Shannon stole home!

May 2 vs. Balboa Dodgers:

Again, nice baserunning in the early innings. Shannon, Rabecka, and Brianna scored runs. Shannon and Sera combined for some nice outs at first.

April 27 vs. Granada Hills Renegades:

Some nice baserunning in the first inning netted 2 runs. Way to go Shannon and Jackie! Sara and Maricela turned a nice play at second. Play on the field really does continue to improve -- I appreciate all the girls' hard work!!!

April 25 vs. Mason Hot Shotz:

Highlights will be posted when Coach Chris gets them to me!

April 20 vs. Bratz:

Todays game was again marked by some good defense. Shannon pitched well and we had ANOTHER unassisted double play at first, this time by Sera. here were some good stops by all the fielders. Offensively, we had some nice base running by Stephanie, leading to a run, and by Shannon. ell done, girls!

April 18 vs. Hot Shotz:

In their first outing, the Angels came out with lots of enthusiasm. There was some nice play in the field, as Jackie had an unassisted double play at first, and Brianna had a nice put-out at second. ffensively, the Angels were led by Jackie and Erica who scored runs in the fourth. t was a good effort. ll the girls worked hard and the coaches were very proud of them.
