Before the great adventure of higher learning, I spent my angst filled years at Saint Francis High School.
Ever since I first started playing with computers in elementary school, my lifelong dream has been to work at Apple Computer
with a white badge (full-time). Along the way I've had a green (contractor) and yellow (intern) badge. As an intern I worked at Developer University (DU) and the
Advanced Technology Group (ATG).
I've also been an independent contractor for DU and began work on their
online course offerings.
Now I have a white badge and I'm developing next generational
online help for
Mac OS 8 in the Human Interface Technologies group.
I'm a Macintosh junkie all the way, I only use Unix and DOS/Windoze when necessary (don't even get me started on Mac/Wintel comparisons). I've written some freely available C++ libraries for use with PowerPlant (part of Metrowerks CodeWarrior). I juggle, dance (occasionally), like to eat Spoo, and I LOVE Star Trek (TOS,TNG, DS9, & Voyager), Babylon 5, Earth 2, and Nowhere Man--oh heck, I just like good sci-fi --and I can beat most people on Star Trek trivia knowledge...go ahead, try me. I consider Hwy 17 and invigorating challenge and I like to collect cool quotes when traveling around the Internet. When Web surfing, I like to read Doctor Fun and Dilbert; I guess you could say I'm a Webaholic in denial.
I'm involved in Alpha Phi Omega, National (Coed) Service Fraternity, and started Alpha Gamma Nu chapter at UCSC for which I now serve as an advior (aka Sugar Daddy). I also maintain web pages for Section 4 of APO. I'm a Boy Scout, but please don't hold that against me, I'm not nearly as facist/conservative as the BSA. If you know what a grumble is, then check out the
Oljato Staff Page. My latest toy is an Apple QuickTake 100 electric camera which inspired me to start the What is it? page.
