- BASKETBALL: Phoenix's NBA team is The Phoenix Suns. For schedule and

- BASEBALL: Phoenix does not currently have a professional baseball
team BUT soon will. The team is the Arizona
Diamondbacks and their first season will be 1998. Call (602) 514-8400

- FOOTBALL: Phoenix's NFL team is the Arizona

- GOLF: The PGA Phoenix Open is played at the Tournament Players Club.

Classic, the Legends Classic, the Tradition and the Desert Scramble. For
those golf fans who would rather play, Phoenix has over a hundred golf courses.

- AUTO RACING: The Phoenix International Raceway and the Firebird International
Raceway are the two racetracks in Phoenix.. The Phoenix International Raceway
is a one mile oval and is used for such events as the Indy Car World Series,
the NASCAR Valvoline stock car race. (602) 252-3833. The Firebird International
Raceway is where the National Hot Rod Association drag races take place.
