I have graduated from UCSC in 2005. My thesis was on "Understanding and Coping with Failures in Large-Scale Storage Systems."

My primary research interests are directed towards dependability of scalable storage systems and large-scale distributed systems, where I investigate distributed data recovery, robust network interconnection, and efficient failure detection issues.

I was a member of the Petabyte-scale Object-Based Storage Systems project at Storage Systems Research Center.
