Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM.

Minutes from the June Business Meeting (6/3/01) approved.

Finance Report

As of the end of June our account has $3324.60.

New Business

October Business Meeting

We are combining the October Business Meeting with the Craig Haney lecture. We have selected the Beverly Hills Public Library Auditorium for the lecture location. Cost of the room is $450.00 for the afternoon. Parking for the event is free. Alumni Association will provide Professor Haney with airfare to the event, we will provide accommodation for the evening of November 3. Local chapter will provide cheese and wine following the event. Mailing for the event will be done by a professional printer this year; cost is $480.00 (including postage for 1000 people.)

Upcoming Events

Campo Cahuenga Picnic

Also considering having a monthly meeting/event at Campo Cahuenga. There is a local conservation group that will provide a tour of the grounds and a history of the local area. There is also space to have a picnic on the grounds. Consider for a spring time meeting.

Election / Need Volunteers

We need to locate people interested in becoming the Alumni Association Los Angeles Chapter President, Vice-President, and Treasurer. Fran will continue in the role of web master. Michele is willing to continue as secretary. Claude is resigning after having been our faithful president for the last two years and Jennifer is resigning from the role of treasurer after serving for the last several years.
