Docents from L.A. Conservancy will be guiding UCSC Alums on a Walking Tour through
LA's downtown historical movie palaces of Hollywood's golden years. The
district contains the largest concentration of pre-WW II movie houses in
America. We will be viewing the inside of 3 historic movie theatres (the
Palace, the Orpheum, the United Artists) as well as other theatres. We will
be ending our tour with a Question and Answer session by Special Guest
Lindsay Doran, UCSC Alum and President of Three Strange Angels
(production company).
Please note: This is not the time to sell your screenplay. :-)
After our tour, enjoy High Tea at the Regal Biltmore Hotel with Chancellor M.R.C. Greenwood.
Event is RAIN or SHINE
When: Meet at 9:30am for Tour
Tour starts promptly at 10am and lasts 2 hours
High Tea starts around 12:30pm (after Broadway Tour)
What to Wear: Wear comfortable walking shoes for the Tour
Appropriate attire for High Tea (dress nicely)
Where to Meet: In the Lobby of the Biltmore on Olive Street side
Cost: $25 for Broadway Tour and High Tea
$ 3.50 for Parking at Pershing Square
Please bring parking ticket on the Tour for validation
