Andrew & George Washington

First off, it has to be noted that there are no direct decendents of George Washington, the first President of the United States, as he had no children. That said, here is my family's relationship to this famous Revolutionary War general.

So there you have it. Proof that my sister Diane, who was scolded in elementary school for claiming to be related to George Washington, was right.

*Leonora Naylor Penniman

My great-grandmother was the first woman in Santa Cruz to drive a car. She was also quite an accomplished watercolor artist, and co-founded the Santa Cruz Art League in the early-1900s.
