Tips and Tricks
- If a bubble gets moved behind the top navigation area or the bottom toolbar, zoom in to move the bubble into the normal area.
- If you want to e-mail something and you don't want to wait, then skip recording audio.
- E-mailing may take a while because a higher quality photo is being e-mailed. If it doesn't take that long, it is probably because the photo has been compressed too much or a smaller photo is sent. You want your friends and family members (or yourself) to receive a higher quality photo so please be patient and wait for the e-mail to finish.
- It is easier to move around and re-size other forms of text and then switch to partridge text. Partridge text is complex and takes longer to draw.
- While the camera takes photos at (1200X1600) or (1600X1200), when the photo is saved back to disk, it is converted to (480X640) or (640X480.) Thus iBubble converts the photo to (480X640) or (640X480) on-the-fly. This helps to avoid memory issues without losing pixels because the photo is saved at 640 by whatever anyways. There is no way to get around this limitation because that is what the iPhone saves the photo as.
- Only one effect can be applied to a photo at a time. If you want to add additional effects to a photo, save the photo by clicking on the save icon and then reselect it from your photo library by clicking 'Load' and then 'Photo Albums.'
- If a photo is saved with a bubble, that bubble then becomes part of the saved photo. If you reload the photo from your saved photos library, the bubble that has been saved already will not be editable like new bubbles that you place on the photo.
- It is easier to stretch or squish a bubble or resize the bulge or pinch placement circle putting your fingers nowhere near the bubble or circle or any other bubble so the bubble does not get *picked*
- Some effects such as autofix make your photo size larger and will take longer to e-mail. Experiment with this to see how it affects you.
- E-mails are sent from comic.bubble.photo@gmail.com. Keep this in mind when you are sending to people. The reply-to address should show your e-mail address. To get around this would be very difficult since no e-mail with attachments api is provided by apple. iBubble uses its own smtp client code to send e-mails with attachments.
- iBubble serializes your current photo to xml and deserializes it upon reloading so if something happens while you are editing a photo like your phone is shut off, you should not lose anything.
